Logis-Tech Tokyo 2022 Exhibition Report

The Logis-Tech Tokyo exhibition is one of the largest exhibitions in Asia where the latest logistics equipment, systems, and information are gathered. This year, 526 companies and organizations exhibited a total of 2597 booths under the theme “New Standard of Logistics”. Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, this was the first time in four years that a regular exhibition was held at Tokyo Big Sight, and the number of visitors over the four days was the largest ever, at approximately 60,000.

HAKO-FLO exhibited RFID Query inventory demo and HAKO-FLO CLOUD at Zebra Technologies’ booth.
Thanks to the many visitors who stopped by our booth, the event was a great success. Thank you very much for visiting our booth.

About the HAKO-FLO Exhibit

RFID Query, an application for HAKO-FLO’s RFID reader, was shown for the first time in Japan at the booth, using Zebra Technologies’ RFD40 handheld reader and TC21 mobile terminal. RFID Query has the ability to match imported data with actual scan results, and a demonstration of inventory was conducted using Zebra Technologies mascot dolls with RFID tags as inventory in a warehouse.

RFID Query can be used not only for inventory, but also for various warehouse operations such as receiving/shipping inspection and picking by changing the data to be imported. This service can significantly shorten the time required for asset management, receiving/shipping inspection, inventory, and picking, since the information encoded in the IC chip embedded in the tag can be read simultaneously by RFID readers, without the need to scan each item individually as with conventional barcodes.

Data acquired by RFID readers can be sorted and searched by using HAKO-FLO CLOUD, one of the HAKO-FLO solutions, enabling efficient data sharing even at remote locations. In the future, data collected on the cloud will be analyzed, and development is underway with a view to visualizing backlogged inventory and providing data such as warehouse belly occupancy rates.
